Welcome to the Janie's Journey blog, your local space for connection and support. The path with Parkinson's is deeply personal, yet it's one filled with shared experiences of strength, challenge, and hope. We believe no one should walk this path alone, which is why we've created this corner of the internet for our community right here in Connecticut. We invite you to make this space your own. Share your story, offer advice, ask a question, or simply read the words of a neighbor who truly understands what you're going through. This is your community—a place to find strength in knowing you are not alone.

I've been following your incredible work for some time, and I'm deeply moved by your unwavering love for your mom and how you have turned you mom's legacy into a powerful mission to educate and advocate for everyone affected by Parkinson's. Your story as a caregiver and your connection with your mother, Sharon, truly represents unconditional love. The kind every parent hopes to have with their child.

Through "Together for Sharon, you've not only kept her spirit alive but also inspired hope and action accross the Parkinson's community worldwide. Your positive energy, resilience and dedication remind us that silence helps no one. That we must speak out, live fully, and fight together for change.

Listening to your podcasts, I've learned…

She battled Parkinson’s disease for 15 years, but it wasn’t until around 2014 that the disease began to significantly affect her daily life.

Before then, Sundays were her favorite day of the week. We would gather in the backyard, where she’d laugh with her grandkids, blow bubbles, and enjoy the best meals we could find—after a passionate and hilarious family…
